Bead and Wire Animal Ornament - Ostrich

Handcrafted in South Africa, this beaded ostrich is made by members of the Rangwani family, who have established a tradition as expert sculptors using glass seed beads and heavy gauge wire.

Fun fact about ostriches: they don't actually hide their heads in the sand! They munch on sand to help them digest since they have no teeth. Also, they're the fastest runners on two legs with kicks powerful enough to defend them from predators! Keep this little guy around to ward off any hyenas that might be wandering around the neighborhood!
